Evans sound icon system was developed as a part of the Evans packaging redesign to help identify different drumheads by their technical features. Sound profile icons visualize these technical features in a minimalistic and understandable way.

Due to the volume of different features and their nearly endless combinations, this project came down to designing a system for generating different icons. Each drumhead now has their own icon that communicates their unique sound profile and helps the drummer find their favorite drumhead from the shelf.
